What is It?
The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and subscribes to is strict Code of Ethics . Only those agents who are members of NAR can use the term REALTOR®. REALTOR® is not a synonym for real estate agent. Click Here to Find Out More About NAR’s Code of Ethics.

Who Needs To Take It?
The National Association of REALTORS® requires that all members take Code of Ethics once they join a Board. The Code is what sets REALTORS® apart from other real estate professionals. When you take the Code of Ethics class, you are stating that you will follow a strict Code of Ethics promoting professionalism and an ethical real estate practice.
All REALTOR®members are required to take Code of Ethics in Cycle 6 which is from 2019 to 2012.
If you are a new member and have not taken Orientation/Code of Ethics, it is being offered monthly at NAMAR located in Duluth. It is $30 and you get 3 CE Credits. Please contact the NAMAR office at 770-495-7300 to Register.
If you have taken Orientation and are renewing your Code of Ethics, you may
- Renew online at www.nar.realtor. Select Code of Ethics for existing members under the education tab. It is FREE but no CE Credit.
- The Code of Ethics class is being offered at NAMAR located in Duluth. It is $30 and you get 3 CE Credits. Please contact the NAMAR office at 770-495-7300 to Register.
- You may take Code of Ethics with your Broker or online through The CE Shop. If taking online through The CE Shop, it is $19 and you get 3 CE Credits. Please email a copy of your certificate to email@example.com so that we can update your records.
